- BUHARI IS PUNISHING US FOR NOT VOTING HIM
-More coming to south east prisons
There are strong indications that despite the mass protest
which was witnessed in various cities across anambra sgtate last Saturday,
about 47 Boko Haram prisoners were late Sunday night transferred to ekwulobia
prison in Anambra State.
A source from Ekwulobia said it was late in the night that
the prisoners were escorted into the prison amidst heavy security, which was
the reason inhabitants of the area concluded that the much dreaded terrorists
may have atlast been brought to town.
Though prisons authority refused to confirm the arrival of
the prisoners, a visit to Ekwulobia Prisons showed abnormal security presence
that betrayed the arrival.
The Deputy Controller in charge of ekwulobia prisons, Mr
Pascal Ibegbulem could not be reached, a senior prisons official in Awka who
sought anonymity said it was not true as no prisoners have been shipped to the
prison.
A human right activits and Chairman board of trustees of
International Society for Civil Liberties and the rule of Law, Comrade Emeka
Umeagbalasi who alerted journalists about the arrival of the prisoners said it
was true.
Umeagbalasi said though only 47 prisoners were brought to
ekwulobia prison, there are several Boko Haram prisoners who are still waiting
to be transferred to various prisons in the South East. He said Okigwe, Aba and
other prisons around the south east will get more number soon.
He insisted that the transfer was politically motivated and
that it was a post war vendetta being embarked upon by President Buhari who is
known to have participated actively in the war.
He also added that it was also the price the south east will
pay for not voting president Buhari, and that it was unfortunate that the
people of the south east could be so greatly targeted for punishments for
exercising their freedom to vote.
“You can now see that the Presidency reaction, the NPS and
the APC reaction which stated that the prisoner transfer news was all rumour
has now been corroborated. They Wanted something secret but were surprised that
it was let open. The denial was just damage control, and I think the presidency
may have called prisons authority to deny it.
“This is A post civil war vendetta politic and Buhari is on
a revenge mission to the people of the South east for not voting him and there
is no justification for such to be done. The prisoners are still being tried in
various states in the North where they committed the atrocities, and there
should not be brought here as they cannot be tried in states where they did not
commit the crime.
“What the president is doing is another way of escalating
and expanding the boko haram thing and we are very densely populated unlike
north, so if the boko Haram make an inroad here there will be very gruesome
killings.
