Former
governor of Anambra State Dr Chris Ngige and the immediate past senator
representing Anambra Central Zone has lost his father, Elder Pius
Ngige.
Pa Ngige is also the father of Chief Emeka
Ngige, SAN, a senior lawyer and contestant for the position of the
national president of the Nigeria Bar Association in the last election
of the group.
Senator Uche Ekwunife, representing Anambra central
senatorial zone who replaced Ngige at the red chambers has however condoled with the Ngige family over the death of
their patriarch father, late Pa Pius Ngige and the entire Alor community
in Idemili South council area of Anambra state.
Senator Ekwunife in her condolence message expressed shock
over the death of Pa Ngige who was the father of Senator Chris Ngige,
the senator that represented Anambra central senatorial zone.
She described the late Ngige as a noble man who stood on
the side of truth and condoled with entire Ngige family especially his
predecessor, Senator Chris Ngige and his siblings over the death of
their father.
"It is with rude shock that I received the news of the
passing to glory of your father late Pa Pius Ngige who until his death
at a quite ripe age was a noble man who stood on the side of truth and
promoted good governance. His demise has created yet another vacuum in
our hearts but we should be consoled by the fact that he lived a good
life worthy of emulation and I urge those he left behind to take solace
in the Lord"
The Senator further described the death of the patriarch as
a personal loss and on behalf of the people of Anambra central
senatorial zone prayed God to grant him eternal rest among the saints.
