Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Chief Ifeanyi Uba may have
launched a new tactics to topple Senator Andy Uba and his alleged running mate
on the platform of APC to pick the ticket for himself.
A source said Ubah has used his connection in the corridors of
power to meet secretly with almost all the decision makers in the party at the
national level, and has been working towards being fielded by the party.
Our source said that, “Ubah is very rich, and the party is looking
for a man who can vie for the election on his own financial strength. Ubah
recently received a huge sum from the federal government and I doubt if anyone
in APC will have the kind of money to fight him.
“He is the only one that APC can field that will be able to fight
the incumbent governor, who is already gearing up to wrestle anyone who throws
his hat in the ring.”
WWW.ELEKE.NEWS.COM gathered from the source that Ubah’s only
headache in APC today is George Moughalu, who is said to be currently being
favoured by the national body of APC.
“Moughalu is seen as a loyal party man, and has been serving the
party for years, and the party I see is considering that, and wants him to be
the governorship candidate, and Ubah has also noticed that, and I have no doubt
if he has started negotiating with him,” The source said.
